Air Pollution Testing

Since the early 1950's Fred Holmes has had experience at keeping our environment healthy and clean by reducing air pollution. Through all those years and by doing the little things well, like supplying and maintaining fuel systems, which have helped to keep emissions to a minimum, we have tried to do our part.

Today more is demanded of all of us, and at Holmes Environmental Consulting Ltd we are ready with the equipment and training to ensure your large marine vessel meets the stringent requirements that keep our environment healthy. We are ready and in the forefront with experience and knowledge of the ever expanding technology which is required for today's environmentally conscious customer.

Holmes Environmental Consulting Ltd. is providing NOx and SOx testing for the shipping and marine transportation sector.

Testing for compliance with IMO Annex VI or EPA tier I and II regulations.

These regulations apply to each diesel engine with a power output of more than 130 kw installed on a ship constructed on or after Jan 1, 2000 or which undergoes a major conversion on or after Jan 1, 2000.

This testing can be directed towards compliance or done on a confidential basis to assess engine or ship compliance leading to the issuance of an Engine International Air Pollution Prevention Certificate.
